RUN ROUTE

Ka’Ala Elementary School

130 California Ave, Wahiawa, HI 96786

Running Route: Ka'Ala Elementary School through Wahiwa and Pineapple Fields

Starting from Ka'Ala Elementary School, you’ll begin your run by heading east on California Avenue cutting around the elementary school turning northward onto Anoni Street. After a short jaunt turn west onto Kilani Avenue, which will lead you to Kamehameha Highway where you'll turn northward.

On Kamehameha Highway 80 you'll quickly leave downtown Wahiawa and soon pass lush greenery, a quaint bridge, and vibrant tropical flowers. The trees and foliage found only in Hawaii will pass you by, as you make your way north eventually turning east onto Kamananui Road. As you hit your stride through these peaceful fields feel your worries slip away and enjoy the tranquility that the early morning hours have to offer. These mostly downhill roads provide a great challenge and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

These are the history rich fields of Wahiawa home to the lush Dole Plantation fields! As you enter this fragrant world of golden fruits, be embraced by rows of pineapple plants extending as far as the eye can see. The sweet and tangy aroma that fills the air will provide an extra burst of energy, motivating you to keep pressing on.

Cool breezes and a gentle mist may find you, as you transition into a southward turn onto Wilikina Drive.  Passing by Schofield Barracks you will now be pressing uphill! This is the longest stretch of the 49th 2026 Pineapple Run.

Making your way east, come back to Kamahameha Highway and turn north into downtown Wahiawa. Embrace the spirited atmosphere as you navigate through its cheerful streets filled with quaint shops, local boutiques, and charming cafes. Take a moment to appreciate the unique architecture that blends modernity with the town's rich history.

Turning east back onto California Avenue the route has brought you through the pineapple fields, mountain views, and sloping hills. Just steps to go to reach the finish line at Ka'Ala Elementary School. Crossing the threshold reminisce on the journey undertaken, the challenges conquered, and the charming sights encountered.

This journey encapsulates the true essence of Wahiawa and its natural beauty. Tread its paths, immerse yourself in its sights, and come away with a deeper appreciation for the unique paradise we call home.

 Mahalo, e kuʻu hoaaloha!

Thank you for your patience. We are excited for this years event, and hope to see you at the start line!
